20 Brands who amazed us during Milan Fashion Week

Grunge, underground and definetely on trend, I couldn’t start my Milan Fashion week without Wunderkind. You know how much I love Annakiki, don’t you? This upcoming brand rocked the runway with a collection which also featured stunning pink pieces like this coat. Fay‘s new collection was all about a sophisticated 90’s come back. The girly looks and the neutral colors made this collection totally wearable out of the runway (and I can’t wait to do so). Gucci showcased a great collection once again. In love with the prints, the accessories and the retro spirit behind it.

Max Mara / Anteprima / Fendi / Vivetta

It was like seeing my vintage Max Mara coats on the runway. Those beautiful and classic pieces resulted in one of the best collections from the brand I’ve seen so far. How gorgeous is Gigi in that total red outfit? Anteprima was one of the most beautiful and refined shows I attended, in a totally understated way, they gave life to a collection of stunning pieces I would totally buy right now… There was such a retro feeling on Milan’s runways and so there was at Fendi‘s. Lagerfeld nailed it once again. Vivetta got me into its magic world again, the look you see up here is actually one of the least recognizable from the brand, but how stunning is that coat combined with those pants? One of my favorites!

Versace / Tod’s / Etro / Diesel Black Gold

The woman “who wears the pants” was spotted on Versace‘s runway. One of my favorite looks was this trench coat. Tod’s introduced another collection where leather and craftsmanship were the keys. I love how the brand stays true to its identity season after season, remaining one of the most “italian” brands on Milan’s runways. Etro‘s collection was colorful and asian inspired; my biggest crush was this oversize down jacket. Last but not least this beautiful layering of pants, suede skirt and knitwear at Diesel Black Gold.

Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini / Jil Sander / Ermanno Scervino / Blumarine

The contemporary woman at 360 degrees was seen on the runway at Philosophy, how about this ultra feminine look?. Jil Sander‘s show was all about tailoring and a game of well played volumes, the stunning collection is rumored to be Paglialunga’s last. Ermanno Scervino‘s collection also was about suiting and garments that took inspiration from man’s fashion. One of my favorites was this white on white look. Blumarine was as always girly and chic. Sequins applications on fur? Why not!

Au Jour Le Jour / Ferragamo / Stella Jean / Marni

Au Jour Le Jour was never so easy to pull off. I loved the alternation of eccentric looks to more easy to wear outfits. The woman of Ferragamo was chic and “all’italiana”, this elegant and fluid collection was gorgeous to watch. Stella Jean show was bringing a political message, the designer thought of the Cold War and the relationship between the US and USSR when designing it. A special attention was given to turbants and hair accessories. Last one for the season: Marni and another of the many statement coats seen on the runways this season. The collection was cheeky, playful and built around pastel tones. Which one was your favorite? Xoxo, Irene
